Christmas Surprise

Today has been a bit of a lazy day... I watched the movie Ratoullie..didn't see it in the theatres. What a movie :) It was so cute. I don't know which was better Cars or this one. You don't have to be a kid to enjoy it because the story line is a good one.

So, I also finished a couple layouts that I did with DigiScrapNMomma's Christmas Surprise kit. One layout is of my grandson, Gabriel. He was so much fun to watch open presents on Christmas as this year he enjoyed the presents as much as he did the packaging. Kids are so much fun when they are little. The second one I did with pictures of my nephews decorating their tree, or decorating Tristan (Mr. T) rather. You can find the Christmas Surprise Kit here - and DigiScrapNMomma's store here.

Other exciting news, Tuesday I had agreed to become a Creative Team member for one of the designers that I worked with when Hooked on Digi Scrap was active. I am so excited about being on her team as I have enjoyed working with her in the past and am looking forward to the future working with her. 2008 is here already. I am not sure what happened to 2007 it went so fast. I don't think that I accomplished half of what I had wanted to but it's a new year so I will just have to accomplish it this year. One of the things that I want to do this year is learn how to design my own digital scrapbooking kits. I am teaching myself how to use Photoshop and hope to have my first kit done by the beginning of spring, wish me luck. So far the only thing that I've been able to do is word art stuff....it's pretty easy actually. So, I want to share my New Year word art and you can download it here. Ute Indian Poem Word Art Freebie

It's just a couple days till Christmas now and I am spending a lot of time thinking about my mom. Thanksgiving it has been two years since we lost her and this is our third Christmas without her. I will be glad when it is easier. I had found a poem by the Ute Indians that reminded me of mom. The poem says: "I used one of the last photos that were taken of my mom before she died. The Poem Says: I am the woman who holds up the sky. The rainbow runs through my eyes. The sun makes a path to my womb. My thoughts are in the shape of clouds. But my words are yet to come." I thought this was an inspiring and profound poem so I created a word art of it. I am giving it free here.
